Person shot by police on Northwest Side

A person was shot by Chicago police early Sunday in the Belmont Central neighborhood on the city's Northwest Side, according to police.

The person was shot during an "altercation" with police near the intersection of Diversey Avenue and Mulligan Avenue, said Anthony Guglielmi, a police spokesman.
