Police: Oklahoma man falls onto CTA's third rail, dies in Loop

An Oklahoma man died Monday night after falling onto the CTA’s electrified third rail in the Loop, police said.

Christopher Melton, 52, was pronounced dead on the scene in the 200 block of South State Street at 9:09 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
