Illinois State Police were investigating early Wednesday a report of shots fired on the westbound lanes of Interstate 290 near Keeler Avenue in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.
Troopers received the call about 1:25 a.m., and they were still investigating the shooting just before 2 a.m.
